For a company of around 20 people, we brought together staff access across countries and regions, server connectivity and file transfers. A self-service portal, individual permissions and resumable transfers support day-to-day remote collaboration.
Client Situation
The client is a company of around 20 people working from different locations, using online services and servers across countries and regions. It needed a consistent way to manage staff access to business tools, internal systems and project files, as well as communication between servers.
Business Problem
Network conditions and device setup vary by location, while access permissions must follow staff responsibilities. Connections and file transfers between servers can be interrupted by network changes. Troubleshooting also needs to distinguish employee devices, network paths and destination services.
Our scope
We built a self-service access portal with permissions assigned by account and work scenario, configured regional access and server communication paths, and provided resumable transfers, status checks and route diagnostics alongside maintenance, backup and recovery instructions.
After signing in, staff can view their authorized regions, choose a device and work scenario, and obtain the corresponding configuration. Computer and mobile setup instructions are available in one place.
Access rules reflect staff locations, required services and server resources. Staff select the appropriate work scenario while retaining access to local networks and internal systems.
Each member uses an individual account to retrieve authorized configurations. Requests check account and permission status; old links stop providing configurations after deactivation, permission removal or relevant credential changes.
Controlled connection paths link servers and internal resources across locations for resource access and remote maintenance. Status views distinguish offline devices, outdated readings and resources not yet monitored.
A file browser and transfer interface support comparison of direct and relayed paths. Downloads can pause and resume, with integrity checks on completion. Completed files with the same name but different contents are not silently overwritten.
Segment-by-segment measurements, route diagnostics and device status checks accompany deployment, backup and recovery instructions. Maintainers can narrow down faults across staff devices, network paths and destination servers.
